Maestro Wayne Shorter, who's incredible legacy of music I came to know through his work with Miles Davis, has moved on to his next journey. I highly recommend to my artist friends, but not excluding the non-artists, the open letter this visionary penned with another master artist, Herbie Hancock. Shorter was a seeker of peace, of human decency and kindness. He did not make music with a chip on his shoulder and ego in his motives. It is why he is beloved by many musicians and artists, not just jazzers.
