Russell is a self proclaimed "moving target" as an artist and Delicious Days is more proof of that label. He continues to defy categorization here, though with a defined trajectory toward classic adult pop-rock as the prevailing tone on this album - perhaps more so than on any of his other releases. But again, he seamlessly integrates jazz, rock, funk and soul in to the mix.
