Russell has released a catalogue of diverse recorded work that spans from the folk infused fare of his debut, As Simple As That (1996), to the rootsy IMA "Album Of The Year" nominated,  Salt (2005) and the critically heralded blues and soul album, Up Against It (2010). These were followed by a rich instrumental/orchestral and jazz centered collection, Big Sky (2012/2023), which was remastered for a 2023 re-release. Successive albums offered up funkier pop-jazz and rock hues with Delicious Days (2013) and Carry It Up (2016). His self-described "pandemic lockdown project", Still Wilson (2020), paired videos with six single releases. A vault full of demos and unreleased recordings which date back to well before Russell's first commercial release is being mined for a compilation package consideration. Late 2023 saw the release of his newest project, a 3-song EP, This Is Son Solitaire (2023). These tracks were also recorded in late 2020-21. He is currently recording new music for another release in 2024.
